WA Finish Third at Nat U/19 Champs After NSW Draw

WA has finished third at the National Under 19 Championships after playing out a draw against champions NSW in their final match of the carnival in Canberra.
 
NSW batted first and posted 412, to which WA replied with 7-223.
 
WA won five matches at the carnival, suffered one defeat at the hands of second placed Victoria and drew the one match against NSW.
 
Meanwhile, three WA players have been named in the 2009-10 Under-19 Team of the Championships.
 
WA skipper Tom Beaton, fellow batsman Phil Adams and paceman Luke Waterhouse were the trio that have put their hand up for potential Australia Under-19 World Cup representation.
