Fahey Notches 100 Women's National Cricket League Wickets
04/12/2008

The Captain of the Western Fury, Avril Fahey brought up 100 Women's National Cricket League (WNCL) wickets last weekend in the opening rounds of the WNCL.

Fahey lead her side to two dominant wins over the SA Scorpions and notched up her 100th WNCL wicket along the way at Aquinas College Oval on Saturday 29 November.

The Western Fury have now won five in a row, equaling their team winning streak record set in the 1999-2000 season.

Fahey will be looking to keep the wickets flowing in the coming months as her side attempt to notch their maiden WNCL title in 2008-2009.

The Western Fury clash with the reigning WNCL premiers, the NSW Breakers this Saturday 6 December 2008 at the SCG.
