Junior Country Week 2016 Preview
3 January 2016
Busselton-Margaret River JCA celebrate last year's title

An exciting month for WA Country Cricket begins on Monday, with the commencement of Junior Country Week 2016, with a record 42 sides competing in the statewide regional carnival.

A scorching four days is predicted with the temperature set to reach a top of 36 degrees late in the week.

In an exciting boost for the competition, the Under-14 section now encompasses 16 teams across 2 divisions, a major improvement given this age bracket did not exist in the carnival two years ago.

Albany Junior Cricket Association will look to defend their U/14 title after being crowned the inaugural winners last season.
