Senior Country Week Round 1 Wrap

Senior Country Week 2016 started with a bang on Sunday as A and B section teams played off in 60-over fixtures, C-E sections playing off in 50-over fixtures, with the carnival now taking place for the next six days.

In Section A, Albany got their tournament off to the perfect start, dispatching Broome in emphatic fashion. Albany batted first and made 315 before dismissing the side twice for 51 and 59. 

Peel and Harvey/Leschenault had tight wins against their opponents, while Geraldton crushed Kalgoorlie/Boulder. 

Bunbury & Districts got their week off to a good start smashing North Midlands with Ross Knoll hammering 151 off 117 balls.
