Three New Teams For Country Cup Finals
2 March 2016

Peel, Upper Great Southern, Esperance and Port Hedland will battle it out in the Toyota Country Cup finals at Breckler Park this long weekend.

Peel booked their spot in the finals last weekend, topping Pool 2 at Stan Twight Reserve and knocking out reigning premiers Bunbury and Districts in the process.

Upper Great Southern also clinched their finals spot in Narrogin last weekend, with a dramatic win over Albany where they took four wickets in the final over.

This year’s finals series includes a final and play-off for third for the first time in the history of the T20 finals format.

Three rounds of games will be played at Breckler Park on Sunday and Monday during the Labour Day.

It’s Esperance’s first time through to the finals since the competition turned to T20 format, while Peel are the only remaining side from last year’s finals series.

Brad Hogg will present the Hogg Medal on Monday at Breckler Park to the best player of the finals weekend.
