Platten Named In U15 Female Training Squad

WA’s Gorgia Platten has been named in the Under-15 Training Squad after the Under-15’s Female National Championships concluded in Canberra earlier this week.

Platten scored the fourth top scorer at the tournament, with 177 runs in eight matches, with an average of 25.29 and a high score of 72 against Victoria Country.

The Melville talent was WA’s shining light at the carnival where the state finished sixth with two wins.

WA defeated Tasmania and South Australia in its first and third games, before losing to Victoria Metro in the fifth place playoff.

At the conclusion of the Championships, National selectors announced a squad consisting of the most outstanding players to remain in Canberra to take part in a three-day training camp.
