Female A-Grade 50-Over Round Six Wrap
15 February 2017

Round Six of the Female A-Grade 50-Over competition saw the points shared across the four competing teams, with both games, including a top-of-the-table clash, abandoned.

Top pair Midland-Guildford and Melville were set to lock horns at Tompkins Park, but following last week’s unseasonal rain, the match was abandoned, along with the South Perth-University clash at Richardson Park.

As a result, the ladder remains unchanged, with Melville and Midland-Guildford still occupying the top two spots respectively after the pair’s big wins in Round Five over University and Subiaco-Floreat respectively.

South Perth will be frustrated, missing out on the chance to move top with a potential win against bottom-placed University, and remain outside the top two only on quotient.

The Sky Blues can jump back into the top two with a win over Midland-Guildford in Sunday week’s Round Seven clash at Lilac Hill.

The Lions host the Storm at Floreat Park in the other round sEven match, while University have the bye.

This Sunday sees Midland-Guildford play South Perth in the Female A-Grade T20 Grand Final at the WACA Ground, with the first ball at 1:15pm.
