First Class veteran Klinger was a major coup for the Western Warriors, joining from South Australia ahead of the 2014-15 season. Klinger top scored for WA in the 2014 Matador One-Day Cup final as the Warriors triumphed over NSW while he was also the leading scorer in the 2014-15 Big Bash League for the Perth Scorchers. Originally from Melbourne, Klinger left Victoria for the Redbacks in 2008 where he twice won the State Player of the Year award after prolific Sheffield Shield seasons with the bat in 2008-09 (1203 runs) and 2009-10 (886 runs). Klinger previously captained SA to the 2010-11 Big Bash and 2011-12 Ryobi Cup titles, but has never represented Australia at senior level, having won numerous Australia A call-ups.
