Player Story

Hardie joined WA on a Rookie contract before the 2018-19 season and has developed into an allrounder of genuine quality, capable of influencing games with bat and ball. A steady contributor in years prior, Hardie surged to prominence at the back end of WA's triumphant 2021-22 Sheffield Shield campaign. The Willetton product jagged 10 wickets at 14.10 and tallied 238 runs at 119 in three games, having been restricted by elbow surgery early in the season. Hardie's crowning moment was the sublime and unbeaten 174 he compiled in the second innings of the Shield Final, which snuffed out Victoria's hopes of orchestrating an unlikely comeback. This form earned Hardie a spot on Australia A's tour of Sri Lanka, during which he also performed well.
