Player Story

Agar moved from Victoria to WA for the 2012-13 season, earning his first contract with the WA Men's team. The left-arm spinner made his First-Class debut against New South Wales in January 2013 and flourished in the latter half of that season, winning a call-up for the 2013 Ashes Tour of England. Batting on Test debut at Nottingham, Agar plundered a stunning 101-ball 98 which remains the highest score ever compiled by a Test number 11. He made his One Day International debut against England on 8 September 2015 and earned his Twenty20 International debut against South Africa on 6 March 2016. Since then, Agar has regularly featured in Australian limited overs squads. The languid left-hander is renowned for his subtle finger spin and dynamic fielding, but also has the ability to influence games as a damaging lower-middle order batter.
