Player Story

Behrendorff moulded himself into one of Western Australia's most damaging limited overs bowlers after moving from Canberra to WA in 2009. A tall left-armer with decent pace and the ability to swing the ball, Behrendorff rose to prominence during the 2013-14 season, when he finished second on the Sheffield Shield wicket-taking table with 40 scalps at 22.70. He followed that campaign with another superb season in 2014-15, and was later named Australia's domestic cricketer of the year in January 2015. Behrendorff took 14-89 in a Shield match against Victoria in 2016-17, the ninth-best figures in the competition's history, but numerous back injuries have since limited his ability to play red ball cricket. Behrendorff remains, however, a brilliant white ball bowler for WA and Perth Scorchers, and has played more than 20 limited overs internationals for Australia.
